Jeff Shea

Jeff Shea is the founder and director of World Reserves, Inc. Jeff has been a passionate explorer since his youth. After earning an B.A. in Mathematics and MBA from San Francisco State University, he sailed across the Pacific Ocean and then walked and rafted out of the Highlands of Papua New Guinea. He has climbed the highest mountain on every continent and visited every country in the world. Jeff walked & rafted across South America, from Chile’s Atlantic Ocean coast to the Pacific Ocean coast in Brazil under his own power, traversing the Atacama Desert (the world’s driest) and the Altiplano (the second largest highland plateau on Earth), both virtually devoid of ground water. He continued eastwards by rafting 1000 kilometers down the Rio Bermejo to Paraguay, then he walked to the Atlantic coast.
Jeff has led two Explorers Club Flag expeditions into the unexplored Meseta de Ichúm in the Venezuelan Amazon. He was the photographer for the first survey of Warming Island in Greenland and for the discovery of Stray Dog West, one of the northernmost islands in the world.
